Environmental Conservation
The Rudraksh is situated amidst the scenic hills of the Himalayas. It is our responsibility to protect our natural treasures. We therefore follow eco-friendly practices at The Rudraksh that involve waste management systems, water-saving initiatives, and energy conservation measures.
We promote responsible tourism by organizing nature tours, where we educate our guests about the importance of environmental conservation, and encourage them to reduce their carbon footprint.
Sustainable Sourcing
We pay special attention to all the sourcing practices we have adopted at our retreat, ensuring that the majority of our products and services are ethically and responsibly procured. We collaborate with local Pahadi artisans and farmers, establish fair trade with them, and support endangered artistic skills and craftsmanship. We practice organic farming at our retreat and source locally-grown ingredients from small farmers. This practice is beneficial to our guests as they experience the local produce firsthand, while we as a business are able to contribute to the local economy and reduce our own carbon footprint.
Cultural Preservation
The Rudraksh is committed to preserving the Himalayas’ rich cultural heritage. We take pride in celebrating local traditions, customs, and festivals with our guests along with the local communities. We regularly organize cultural events, performances, and workshops to empower the local arts and crafts, music and dance. Our cultural exchange programs are based on encouraging appreciation and respect for the local cultures among our guests.
